One of the fundamental purposes of the Mitsubishi Power Users' Groups (Users' Group) and their websites (Users' Group Web Site) is to facilitate communication and achievement of other objectives among Users of similar equipment or services and with Mitsubishi, the manufacturer or provider of the equipment or services. As used herein, "Mitsubishi" shall refer to Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc., its affiliates, parent and/or subsidiary companies as well as other Mitsubishi companies such as Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Mitsubishi Electric, Mitsubishi Generator and their subsidiary companies individually and/or collectively. The objectives of each Users' Group are located on the website for the respective Users' Group and are updated from time to time as agreed in the periodic Users' Conferences. In order to effectively achieve those objectives, sharing of contact and plant information among Users and with Mitsubishi is necessary.
Data Collection, Sharing and Use
Personal contact information for Users and Mitsubishi personnel is obtained through the Users' Group Web Site registration application forms and information otherwise provided by Users to the Users' Group or to Mitsubishi. This contact information is posted on the Users' Group Web Site, which is password-protected and requires authentication. It will be visible to other Users of similar equipment or services and to selected Mitsubishi personnel so they can contact each other as needed. This contact information is also used for all-User communications from the relevant Users' Group and for important notifications of product information from Mitsubishi (Technical Bulletins for example).
Information related to the equipment or services is obtained from Users, Mitsubishi and public sources. The primary purpose for collection of this information is for participants in the Users' Group to be able to understand and identify plant configurations and applications to improve the effectiveness of communications among the Users and Mitsubishi. This Plant and Unit information is posted on the Users' Group Web Site and will be visible to other Users of similar equipment or services and to selected Mitsubishi personnel so they can compare the information and contact each other as needed.
Each Users' Group Web Site has a Knowledge Base/Discussion Board area where individual Users' Group participants can post information or questions that they would like to make available to other participants. Users registered for the website may receive notification of new postings from Users with similar equipment or services to theirs and will be able to view all postings relating to equipment or services similar to theirs on the website.
Data Security
Each Users' Group Web Site is maintained on behalf of the Users' Group and Mitsubishi Power in a Sharepoint site which requires individual passwords and authentication to limit access to approved participants in the Users' Group.
Registered participants in each Users' Group can access the data on the relevant web site(s) with a username and password obtained when they registered for the Users' Group Web Site. Registered participants in each Users' Group Web Site are also required to accept a Users' Group Terms of Use agreement that includes disclaimer and confidentiality provisions limiting the use of the web site data pursuant to the published objectives of the Users' Group in which the participant is registered.
Data sent to and received from each Users' Group Web Site over the Internet is done using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and other encrypting means to protect the personal information inputted through a communications link. The SSL is a general technology used for security of communications on Webnet, which can encrypt the input data before it is transmitted over the Internet and prevent the input data from being intercepted or tapped. If you use any browser that is not compatible with the SSL, you cannot access the Users' Group Website.

Users' Group participants who wish to update or correct their information or their plant's information on a Users' Group Web Site should contact the Users' Group Executive Director or send an E-Mail to ugportaladmin@amer.mhps.com
